Many new tools are being developed to help us in the garden, from tools that help prepare soil for planting to ones that ease the task of transplanting. Here are the tools from Johnny's Selected Seeds that were demonstrated: Broadfork- Double-handled digging fork used for turning over garden beds. Can also be used for harvesting root crops and other vegetables. Tilther- Acting like a small rototiller, this tool utilizes an 18-volt portable drill battery to prepare seedbeds. Right Angle Trowel- Designed to work with arm muscles to reduce wrist strain, for easier transplanting. Hatfield Transplanter- Allows operator to stand while planting seedlings, bulbs or tubers. It is also handy for market gardeners that transplant large quantities.
