WaterFire Providence

Providence is a city that celebrates the night in a very unique way. Throughout the year the community comes together to stage a series of sensory events from spring through fall, featuring music, water, fire and...the night.

What goes into making this event happen is an extraordinary orchestration of community volunteers, city officials and local businesses.

Behind all of this is Barnaby Evans, the creator of WaterFire. This total sensory experience draws the community together to make this magical event possible. Enchanting music, flickering light, aromatic smoke, and silhouettes against the night sky evoke familiar feelings about life, art, community, to a widely diverse audience.
